Today's Resource Share is the proposal submission form for the upcoming Utah Council for Teachers of English Conference. This year's conference is being held on February 3rd, 2023 at Jordan Commons. It is a great conference for English educators across the state to sharpen their skills and learn from some of the best educators in the state. Today's Resource Share comes from a great collaboration between Google and NASA JPL Labs. Access Mars is a webVR experience taking users to the surface of Mars via the photographs taken by NASA's Curiosity Rover. Users can follow the path Curiosity took across the Martian landscape, see many of the interesting landforms along the way, and move around as if they are on the surface of Mars. Today's Resource Share is First Lady Abby Cox's Show Up for Teachers Virtual Symposium tomorrow morning from 9-12. From their website:

Today's Resource Share is a quick reminder about EdcampWASO on November 12th, 2022. If you have never been to an edcamp, they are an unconference, meaning participants come together, share topics they are interested learning about, sessions are made that morning, and everyone shares their questions/ideas. Today's Resource Share comes from Google's Applied Digital Skills. This new lesson entitled Ask for Help with Google Docs teaches students to create their own help guide for ideas and lessons in their classroom. In the course, they will learn how to create a help Doc, a table, and to create a help guide for classroom questions, research-based work, and even homework help. This is a great lesson for all students, as it teaches them to keep track of important information and who to ask for help as they work independently in class and at home. November 3rd, 2022 - Paint Formatting

Today's Resource Share is a quick video from Google Workspaces. If you don't subscribe to Workspaces on Youtube, you may want to. They have hundreds of videos ranging in the 15-45 second time frame that teach a simple tool within the suite. Today's video is a tool that I haven't really used before, but now that I have started using it, it has helped me be much quicker in developing documents. This tool is the Paint Formatting tool across Google Workspaces. Check out the clip below:

November 1st, 2022 - United States Consitution emedia Hub

Today's Resource Share comes from UEN's eMedia. Over the last year, UEN in conjunction with USBE and statewide groups built a collection of resources to help explore and teach the US Constitution in Utah classrooms. The hub has hundreds of resources divided into grade level appropriate lessons, videos, and more. It is also includes links to various organizations like the Bill of Rights Institute and the Center for Civic Education, which provide further resources.
