Week 1

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK

• "Tuning In" to and "Finding Out" about our new unit: We Are One... (under the transdisciplinary theme: How We Organize Ourselves). Children were introduced to the concept of Needs & Wants. They learned to recognize things that we need to live vs. things that we want or things that make us happy. 

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

• Multiplication: Writing multiplication sentences, using arrays to solve problems, the 2 times-table.

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

• Independent and partner reading time.

• Spelling: Silent Consonants (e.g. write, knew, sign, thumb). Students used a variety of classroom materials to learn this week's words by heart.

Dear PYP 2 Parents:

• We will know the difference between She, He, I, We and how we can change it with verbs.

• We learn new verbs to write paragraphs about our daily routine at the end of the year.

• I would like to share our Arabic outcomes for this week:

•  We start to do our project on google slide about  what we need and what we want .

• We made our own conversations about what we want and what we need in Arabic.

Grade 2 have started gymnastics activities they have been creating shapes and performing balances with strong body tension. They have practiced collaboration by working together with partners or in groups to create synchronized movements and developing their confidence by showcasing their skills in front of an audience.
