WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
"Tuning In" to our new unit! Under the transdisciplinary theme: How We Express Ourselves, children asked themselves and each other the questions: What is art? What can art be? What do you wonder about art? What do you want to learn about art? Students collaborated to draw "mind maps" that communicate their ideas about art.
Read Aloud: The Color Monster, by Anna Llenas. Children discussed how color can be used to express our feelings (happiness, sadness, fear, anger, calm, love).
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
Place Value: Counting objects to 100 by making tens, recognizing tens and ones, using a place value chart.
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
Independent and partner reading time: Strategies for reading with a partner (choral = reading in unison, seesaw = taking turns, echo = repeating what your partner reads).
Weekly letter sounds, focus words, exception words (reading) and exception words (spelling). Students used a variety of classroom materials to teach themselves and others.

ـ كتب الطلاب تفكيرهم التأملي الخاص بأعمالهم الموجودة داخل البرتفوليو.
ـ تم الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للغة العربية من خلال تقديم مجموعة من الأنشطة الفنية المرتبطة باللغة العربية على مسرح المدرسة وكان ذلك له أثر طيب في نفوس الطلاب.
التربية الإسلامية
ـ تم مراجعة حفظ سورة (العلق)
ـ تم حفظ سورة البينة من الآية (1) حتى الآية (5)
The International Day of the Arabic Language was celebrated by presenting a group of artistic activities related to the Arabic language on the school stage, and this had a good impact on the students.
We will start our new unit after the holiday. It's about Art so we learn about lunge Art like Arts, and we will start to learn what we need to write a story. Then we discussed the elements of a story.
We make a revision about what we learned about "home country on Maps'' and we talk about traditionally the food and color of our flag and the difference between a world map and country map and a home map.
This week we finished our summative to draw our map home and name it the rooms then ask and answer about direction we presented to our class.
Learned more about Letter و ط with new vocabulary related to the letters and units.
We worked this week on a portfolio.
