WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK
"Finding & Sorting Out" about our unit "Changes in Matter" - Students practised sorting, drawing and describing solids, liquids and gases in their daily lives.
Experiment - Students performed an experiment with baking soda, vinegar, a balloon, and a plastic bottle. Children learned that when you combine baking soda and vinegar, they make a gas. This gas spreads out to fill the bottle and then the balloon.

REVIEW: Addition and Subtraction (with regrouping): Children continued to practice solving problems that involve making or breaking a group of ten ones.
WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:
Nouns: Children practiced categorizing the nouns they read (in books about matter) into people, places or things. Children practiced describing nouns with adjectives related to materials and matter.
Independent and partner reading time.
Focus words: words ending in -le For example: bottle, puddle, little, jungle,
Star words: (double, pickle)
Students used a variety of classroom materials to learn sounds/words by heart and write sentences.

استخراج الفكرة الرئيسة من (قصة مقروءة) + مُراجعة أسلوبي التعجب و أدوات الاستفهام من خلال إجابة بعض الأنشطة الصفية.
- قام الطلاب ببحث الكتروني عن حالات المادة (صلبة، سائلة،غازية)
- ذكر الطلاب بعض الأمثلة وصنفها حسب الحالة المناسبة لها.

We learned how to analyze the Arabic word.

Grade 2 began their invasion game unit. Students have been introduced to the concept of attacking and defending by playing a game called Crossover. For each lesson, the rules have been gradually built to help scaffold the children's understanding.
