Week 4

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

• Map of Oman - Students contoured the map of Oman and Identified cities and landmarks from Oman.

• National day celebration- Students prepared an art exhibition and a fashion show to celebrate the National Day.

• Students explored real city maps to spot the elements they could find.

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

• Describing Movement: Students worked with grids to describe forward, backward, left and right movement and explored how the position of the object moving affects how we give directions.

• 2D shapes: Students practiced identifying, coloring and drawing the common 2D shapes they found in Omani images and symbols.

WHAT WE DID THIS WEEK:

• Weekly letter sounds, focus words, exception words (reading) and exception words (spelling).

• Independent and partner reading time.

• Story-writing practice with key words.

I would like to share our Arabic outcomes for this week in Unit 2:

• We start to practice for our assembly each kids has to make his country map on cardboard. locate Oman on Maps.

• We locate our home country on Maps and we talk about traditionally food and color of our flag.

• We talk about Provinces in Oman .

• We learned the difference between a world map and country map and a home map .

• practice how to write Oman in Arabic.

• We Learned how to write sentences using أحب أصعد أنزل أتجه.

• We still compared between transportation ( size, color, Move).

• We practice how to write directions for somebody.
