For your video, you are to produce an instructional or documentary video that another teacher can use. You can have groups of up to 4 members and everyone edits a section of the video, then combine all the different sections to make the final version.
Are there any existing video or stills that you can use, such as the recent trip to Chicago, the Huntsman trip or a field trip from another class. Do you need interviews? Your video can have up to 30% of existing video.
Depending on the content, it can run between 2 and 5 minutes MAXIMUM. This projects counts for 35% of your final mark.
2 Shoot and load your video on the computer and save in a new folder on your Data drive and on your Google Drive. Remember to share it with your other group members and ensure everyone has editing privileges.
3 Edit your video using Adobe Premiere. Use music, combination of different shot types and camera angles, cuts, dissolves and other video effects. You can include still images.
4 After each day’s work, make sure you show me your work, so I can mark it. That way if it gets lost, I at least have a record of what you have completed for that day.
5 Write a daily production record. Keep it simple and short. Include the date and the work description and any comments or observations like the example below.
July 5 -- Loaded video on computer. Computer crashed, so had to reload part of video. Everyone in group contributed ideas.
6 In your group, develop a marking scheme/rubric/ for me to mark it.
Finally, have fun. Any questions, just ask.
