Session summary
Cheating and in particular contract cheating has become a global issue and an increasingly serious global concern in recent years. With the pandemic and the pivot to online provision, this has provided further opportunities for unscrupulous cheating companies out there to reach our students, and to lure them into engagement. This talk describes the approach Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) has taken to contract cheating and academic misconduct in Ireland, both in regard to our regulatory remit, as set out in national legislation, and with a parallel approach to training, provision of information and education working in partnership with our broad range of stakeholders and partners both nationally, and internationally.
