Teaching Qualification Further Education (TQFE)
Stage 4: Professional Educator
You demonstrate a high level of competency in professional practice, and effectively create teaching and assessment resources.

Synchronous course every 2nd Tuesday, September-May.
You attend live sessions online or face-to-face with University of Aberdeen in partnership with COGC.
You will spend 1-2 days per week doing coursework in your own time.
This course is organised in modules:
Successful Learning in Further Education.
Change and Innovation in Further Education.
Those taking level 9, can top up to achieve a degree (BA Professional Development).
This course is for those with two or more years' teaching experience in teaching adult learners.
It is aimed at those teaching or training in vocational contexts and Colleges.
To apply for a COGC supported place, contact your line manager.
Applicants with no HNC or HND can do the BA Professional Development (2 years part time, distance). Year 1 is BA and year 2 is the TQFE.
Applicants with only an HNC: May first need to complete a short form for recognition of prior learning.
