The Clipper Project

The Clipper Project developed a prototype toolkit to allow people to create, annotate and share ‘virtual clips’ from online audio-visual resources. The college led this project in partnership with the Open University and the software company ReachWill Ltd. We were the only FE college to reach and be joint winners of the finals of the Jisc funded challenge to develop new tools to support researchers. We also received in-kind funding from Microsoft Research in this project to use their cloud services. In this project we have been collaborating with leading research institutes to develop tools to make audio-visual data more usable in research and education projects.
