OVERVIEW
Adequate equipment is carried to enable the emergency toileting when away from constructed toilets. Each group must carry the following poop kit:
Trowel
Hand Sanitizer
Toilet Paper
Zip Lock bags
Surgical gloves
Doggie Poop bag
Small dry bag
A suitably robust and resealable container is carried; a plastic lunch box may be used if required.
The Guide highlights the likely time frames where toilets will not be available
The Guide articulates that faeces and hygiene wipes are sealed and carried to a suitable disposal facility
Urination in the field is only permitted in a suitable secluded area and at least 150m away from any creek or water source
Participants are offered a suitable container and hygiene wipes if they need to defecate
Participants are advised to seal the used container using tape then seal it in a garbage bag
Participants remain responsible to carrying and disposing of the contents and container
Adequate garbage bags are carried by the Guide
The Guide explains that all waste is carried out of the field and disposed of in an appropriate facility; including food waste
The Guide identifies where and when garbage bags are setup for activity sites
The Guide sets up garbage bags at an appropriate time and location for the activity
The Guide carries (and/or delegates) all rubbish for later disposal
The Guide conducts a rubbish sweep upon departure from any activity or camp sites
The Guide ensures all waste has been disposed of appropriately
