Site specific information for Narrow Neck which is a large sandstone-cliffed peninsula of rock that divides the Jamison Valley and Megalong Valley south of Katoomba. It juts about 13km out towards the Coxs River and the upper part of Warragamba Dam.

Active Participants: There must be a minimum of 1 guide per belay system, assuming a top belay system is being used.
Non Active Participants: Non Active participants can wait in a designated waiting area shown by the guide and be deemed responsible for their own safety in that area.
Turn off Cliff Drive onto Glenraphael Drive. Drive 800m until you reach the carpark and gate on the right. All abseils are beyond the gate, as marked.

Narrow Neck is a popular guiding location. Be aware there will likely be other operators at the site.
4WD Track is the only safe area for clients to be waiting unattended. This must be made clear in the brief.
Guides be aware that it is easy for clients to get lost walking up after the 30m abseil. Guide to show client exit track or be very clear on instructions. When possible send clients back up in groups.

Clients should take their time and focus on body position and technique before moving on to the intermediate abseil wall.
If 2 guides are available a bottom belay system can be used
