Guide Communication Obligations

Prior to the departure the guide must check:

1. • Minimum of two mobile phone in the group (ideally with 2 different network carriers)

   • All batteries are fully charged (vehicle charger may be required)

   • Network coverage and black spots in the intended area is assessed

   • The Network Coverage Map is used to check mobile service at critical locations

All Lead Guides are required to check-in with the Operations Manager via text message no less than twice throughout the day:

1. In-Field Check-In #1

• If you are abseiling at a separate location to the canyon, you must send the below text message upon completion of the abseil:

"Abseil at (Insert location) complete. Headed to (Insert Location). All clients and guides safe and well. Thanks (Insert Name)."

• If you are completing a canyon for the entire day (Serendipity) , you must send the below text message upon arrival at XXXXX LUKE TO ADD IN:

"Serendipity group at (Insert Location). All clients and guides safe and well. Thanks (Insert Name)."

2. In-Field Check-In #2

• Upon finishing the canyon, send the below message so Base Camp has an ETA.

"(Insert Location) canyon complete. All clients and guides safe and well. ETA in XXXXX minutes. Thanks (Insert Name). "
