Overview
If you're an employee with authorisation to request paid and unpaid leave, request it using the My Payroll employee portal in Xero or the Xero Me iOS or Android app.
Your organisation's payroll administrator will need to give you access before you can request leave.
Head to the Xero Home Page to log in with your My Payroll email and password
In My Payroll, select the Leave tab.
Click New Leave Request.
Complete all fields including:
Type of Request – Select the leave type.
Description – This isn't included on your payslip.
Approver – Select one or more people to approve your request.
Start Date and End Date – Select the first and last days of your leave.
Hours – Request part-days separately to enter number of hours.
Click Request.
What's next? You'll get a notification when your manager approves or declines the request.
Download Xero Me for iOS (Apple website) and log in with your My Payroll email and password.
Open the Xero Me app and tap Leave.
Tap the plus symbol.
On the calendar, tap the first and last dates to select a range. To request a part day, tap a single date.
Tap Request [number] Days Off at the bottom of the screen.
Add a description.
Select the leave type, then tap the back icon.
Select who to send your request to, then tap the back icon.
If you're asking for a part day, tap the cursor in Hours Away and enter the number of hours and minutes you need. Tap the back icon.
Tap Send Request.
Download Xero Me for Android (Google Play website) and log in with your My Payroll email and password.
Open the Xero Me app and tap Leave.
Tap the plus symbol.

Add a description.
Select the leave type.
Select who to send your request to, then tap OK.
If you're asking for a part day, tap the cursor in Hours Away and enter the number of hours and minutes you need. Tap OK.
Tap Send Request.
