Dear Summerside Families,
#LoveWC Week 2025 is almost here!
Our SIXTH Annual #LoveWC Week is coming February 18th-21st and we want YOU to be a part of it again! This year's theme is "WC STRONG!"
Here's how you can join in the fun!
Submit shout-outs to West Clermont staff, community members, alumni, and local businesses or organizations! Your shout-out is printed and sent to the recipient and your words of appreciation are a truly priceless gift! The deadline is Wednesday, February 12th.
Show your WC spirit by dressing up for our district wide Spirit Week!
Participate in our WC STRONG stock the IPM Pantry food and reading drive. See below for the flyer and information to items needed for donation!
Share some WC love on social media using the hashtag #LoveWC.
Display the #LoveWC image somewhere visible outside—on your house/building, a sidewalk, a vehicle, well, really anywhere! The more creative, the better! To get you started, here's a DIY coloring page and a letter-sized poster that can be printed. Encourage a local business to also show their support by displaying a #LoveWC poster!
We hope that you'll join us for #LoveWC Week 2025!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney & Mrs. Edwards

Our kindergarteners are learning about technology at home and at school as part of our language arts curriculum, Benchmark Advanced. Mrs. Iding's class engaged in informational writing on technology that police officers use. Thank you to our Student Resource Officer, Officer Ventre for coming in to talk to Mrs. Iding's class about some of the technology he uses in his job to keep us safe!
New Data Below Our goal for the 2024 - 2025 school year is to maintain a daily attendance rate of 95% or higher and lower our chronically absent rate to less than 20%. Below is Summerside's January attendance data.
A reminder of our district attendance policy and insight into absences can be found in the WC Student and Parent Handbook.
EVERY student and EVERY day counts! As we come out of these colder months, we anticipate more students coming to school more often. If you need support, please reach out to problem-solve with us as we have resources to help you get your child to school every day!
Our annual City Saver Book Sale began Friday, 1/24 with this VIDEO KICKOFF. The proceeds of this fundraiser support building purchases for classrooms, including supplemental curriculum and materials.
Your child brought home a coupon book on Friday for you to purchase or sell or simply return to school. See the parent flyer brought home too for more insight into the price and incentives. As you flip through the coupon book, you will notice the number of local community connections that are in this year's City Saver Book - it will more than pay for itself in just a few of the coupons!
The sale runs through Friday, 2/7/25. Books will be delivered shortly after the sale concludes.
