Dear Summerside Families,
Thank you to the families who came to Summerside for the West Clermont Town Hall. We hope all walked away learning something new about how schools are financed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Our students are certainly learning a LOT every day and have a lot to be proud of in their work to become better readers and mathematicians! Kindergartners are practicing counting to 100 and our third graders are relating multiplication to division and they are excited to show what they know. You can ask your fifth grader about their recent research project in Mrs. Johnson's ELA classroom. Our second graders read about the invention of the windshield wipers this week and you can always ask your first grader about the sounds and blends they are working to master in their phonics-based UFLI (pronounced You Fly:) instruction. Be sure to ask your fourth grader about the multi-step math problems they are working to solve on collaboratively on vertical surfaces.
A lot is always going on at Summerside to celebrate and this upcoming week will include outdoor recess, we hope! Be sure to bundle them up and have their names on coats!

Summerside Fundraiser

Our annual City Saver Book Sale began Friday, 1/24 with this VIDEO KICKOFF. The proceeds of this fundraiser support building purchases for classrooms, including supplemental curriculum and materials.
Your child brought home a coupon book on Friday for you to purchase or sell or simply return to school. See the parent flyer brought home too for more insight into the price and incentives. As you flip through the coupon book, you will notice the number of local community connections that are in this year's City Saver Book - it will more than pay for itself in just a few of the coupons!
Students earn 2 Coops when they Register online and simply share with 5 family and friends! See the parent letter for more details!

2025-26 KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION NIGHT
Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Thursday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM at West Clermont High School. The doors will open at 6:00 with a group presentation beginning at 6:30.
During this event we will have personnel from multiple West Clermont Departments including Curriculum, Health Services, and Transportation, as well as multiple district partners to answer your questions.

Preschool Registration
Attention all parents & guardians who have students between the ages of 3-5 years old. The 2025-26 West Clermont Wolf Pup Preschool information is now available! Check out the Wolf Pup Preschool page on our district website to get all your questions answered. Parents & guardians will complete an online form to enter the lottery between Jan 20-Feb 3 at this link: 25-26 PS Lottery.
