Dear Summerside Families,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone enjoyed their winter break (and our extended winter break:) filled with time to slow down, enjoy family and friends, and a good book or two! Our one-day school week was filled with focus and a genuine sense of being grateful to be back together again. So many students shared how much they love and missed being at school which is beyond heartwarming as we certainly share this love of school and missed them too!
Look for winter benchmark parent reports to come home by Thursday, January 16th to note your child's academic growth and progress on these assessments so far this school year. Be sure to connect with your child's teacher with questions or concerns.
We hope all can join us to share your voice and learn more about our district's direction at our upcoming WC Town Hall at Summerside on Thursday, January 23rd. See below to RSVP.

PTO Summerstride Animal Experience
PTO Summerstride Animal Experience
As a whole school celebration for reaching well beyond our $20,000 Summerstride goal, our PTO is bringing a Raptors, Inc., "Beaks and Talons," assembly to our building on Monday, January 13th for all students, grades preschool (am) - fifth grade. A separate animal encounter is scheduled for our preschool pm students.
Students may be in contact with live birds brought by Raptors, Inc. under the direct supervision of Summerside staff members. The birds have received and are up to date on all necessary vaccinations and certifications per board policy.
If you are okay with your child attending, there is no need for any action as we simply wanted to provide written awareness of this exciting assembly opportunity. If you want your child to attend this assembly but have concerns or they will need accommodations for verified health concerns or if you prefer for your child not attend the Raptor assembly, please email your child’s homeroom teacher and copy Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Courtney. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.

2025-26 KINDERGARTEN INFORMATION NIGHT
Kindergarten Information Night will be held on Thursday, February 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM at West Clermont High School. The doors will open at 6:00 with a group presentation beginning at 6:30.
During this event we will have personnel from multiple West Clermont Departments including Curriculum, Health Services, and Transportation, as well as multiple district partners to answer your questions.

Preschool Registration
Attention all parents & guardians who have students between the ages of 3-5 years old. The 2025-26 West Clermont Wolf Pup Preschool information is now available! Check out the Wolf Pup Preschool page on our district website to get all your questions answered. Parents & guardians will complete an online form to enter the lottery between Jan 20-Feb 3 at this link: 25-26 PS Lottery.
