Dear Summerside Families,
We kicked off the week with our Summer Stride walk-a-thon, celebrating together in a whole school assembly where we learned that you helped raise more than $30,000 for our PTO! Thank you to all who donated and supported this fundraiser for our PTO to continue to give back to our Summerside students, staff, and building! It is powerful to think of how much we can do together. Be sure to ask your child which station was their favorite as they walked the Summerstride path! Thank you to our PTO and all of our volunteers for your support in making this event happen and such a success!
Thursday was Great Apple Crunch Day across the district! Our students were offered an apple from Bauman Orchards in Rittman, OH as part of our initiative to support local growth and encourage healthy eating habits!
Thank you to all who attended our first night of parent-teacher conferences. There are still open spots available to schedule for conferences on the 16th. Thank you to our PTO for providing dinner for our teachers so they can focus on being ready to connect with families!
We hope all enjoy your fall break with school resuming on Tuesday, October 15th.

We encourage ALL families to partner with their child's teacher during the fall conferences.
To schedule a conference, click on your child's teacher's name which will take you to a listing of the times that are available. We ask that families only sign up for ONE time slot to allow for all to attend a fall conference. If additional time is needed or you need to conference virtually instead, please connect directly with your child's teacher to make arrangements. If you wish to connect with a staff member without an active link, some of our other service providers, simply send them an email to connect.

PTO is hosting a book fair during conferences on 10/16. We encourage you to celebrate your child's hard work with a special trip to the book fair that evening as all are welcome, even if your conference night is scheduled the week prior.

Summerside PTO is excited to host the Fall Book Fair next week! You can send in cash, check, or set up an e-wallet online for your student. All students will have the opportunity to preview the fair on Tuesday and then shop with their class later in the week. This information is critical as we approach key decision points for our district and community in the coming months.
