In our meet we looked at linking words we find in our texts, words such as 'and', 'but' and 'or' that can be used to link ideas together or change the idea to something different.
The activity sheets below have some of these linking words in them and a few tasks for you to complete to work on your reading skills:
First, find the linking words and underline them in red.
Then, find the words with long vowel a and silent e and draw a circle around them.
Lastly, draw a picture about what is happening in the space beside, making sure to add detail and use the colours from the stories.
Watch the video beside to help you understand what the long vowel a and silent e words are. Remember to say the words out loud when you are unsure to hear the sound that is being made.
