When we read non-fiction text, we learn about all the different text features that can be found and that they all serve a purpose in giving the reader more information about the topic.
Labels are used to provide more information about the pictures on a page. When you read 'Plant Traps', think about what the labels are labelling and how they fit together with the rest of the features on the page.
Using the activity sheet beside, write two labels for each photo that will help to explain what is actually in the picture. You can use words from the box provided to help you.
Extension: Now that you have labelled pictures from Plant Traps, challenge yourself by drawing your own labelled picture, showing how a plant traps insects.

In our meet, we discussed some of the emotions that we might be feeling during this time in our lives. Then we used those feelings to write a poem.
Now its your turn to write your own feelings poem! Think of some feelings that you have had in your life and what caused those feelings to happen.
Write your poem on a lined piece of paper. The worksheet beside is only if you really need help with beginning your sentences.
Make sure your poem has good sentence fluency and flows well.
