For this session your child will require: -
Writing Pencil
Something to write on (Scrap book, Note pad, Paper)
In our class meet, we talked about different light sources.
We learnt about natural light sources (e.g. sun) and artificial light sources that we have more control over (e.g. torch).
We discussed what happens when there is no light and what happens when we block out part of the light.
Now it's time for us to experiment!
For this activity you will need:
a source of light - you could use a torch, lamp, or the sun on a sunny day
pencil and paper or some chalk
an object that you can't see through - something that blocks out the light
Activity:
Shine your light onto the object, so that it creates a shadow on your piece of paper (or the pavement if you are using chalk).
Trace around the shadow.
Can your family guess what the shadow is?
Watch the video beside and have fun making fun shadows with your hands!
DJ SAM I AM will be our host for a fun, interactive and engaging disco filled with dances, games and a good old fashioned sing along!
Dress up in your finest dancing outfit, put your dancing shoes on and get your whole family involved in an hour of fun!
Watch out for some of the teachers who might appear to show off their best dance moves too!
The digital disco is hosted on the Zoom platform and a secure Zoom Webinar Link will be provided to families via Sentral on Thursday 2nd September.
Please note that the way the Digital Disco is set up is as a one-way stream. Students will only be able to see DJ SAM I AM. DJ SAM I AM cannot see the students and the students cannot see each other. This is done as a safety measure.
