In 'The Riverboat Crew', Captain Bill and Gus both feel like their job is the most important and argue. They swap jobs to prove it and realise that the other job is hard and that both are important. Sam who just smiled didn’t do his job and both Captain Bill and Gus realised they needed breakfast to work. They decided Sam the cook was most important. Their experiences and hunger causes their feelings to change.
Draw a line like the one below onto a piece of paper. Use the line to show how the 3 character's feeling change throughout the story.
Use the emoji feelings faces you coloured in the meet and the example beside to help you.

In Writing, we have been learning to put words into sentences so that they makes sense and sound good. This is part of the Sentence Fluency Trait.
To help us get better at Sentence Fluency, we have been reading lots of different story books. We have seen how writers put together sentences so that they are easy to read and listen to, while being interesting.
One of the ways some writers make their stories interesting is by adding speech.
Complete the activity below by cutting out the pictures and placing them in an order that makes sense and tells a story.
Then write in each of the speech bubbles to tell us what the characters are saying.
Extension: Once complete, tell us what the next comic could be about. What happens to these characters?
