Task 1: Retire Overworked words

Listen to the story beside, 'Where is the Green Sheep' by Mem Fox.

While listening, think about other words you could use to describe all of the different sheep in the story. Think about what each sheep is doing and how they might be feeling to give you some ideas for other words you could use to describe them.

After listening, complete the 'retiring overworked words' activity sheet beside. For each of the pictured sheep, write down 3 other words you could use to describe them.

For example the Bed Sheep, could also be called the Sleepy Sheep if they are ready for a snooze in bed.

Task 2: Senses Poem
In our meet we explored some senses poems and discussed what they are and how they make us feel when we read them.

Your task is to create your own senses poem using the ice-cream template (below).
Each layer of the ice-cream is a different sense:

Smell
Taste
Hear
Feel
See

Create your own 5 senses ice-cream poem about a special day that you have had, or another experience where you used all 5 of your senses.
