This game consists of 5 rounds. Players take turns to roll a 6 sided die. If a one, three, four, five, or six is rolled, all standing players add that number of points to their scores for the current round. A player can choose to 'stop’ at any time. When a player stops, he or she safeguards all the points he or she has earned in the round, but is not able to earn more points until the next round. If a player chooses to roll and lands on a two they lose all of their points for that round. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. Use the 10s frames to help you keep track of your points.
Practise forming and writing numbers on a note pad, whiteboard, in flour, shaving foam, or sand. You can also finger paint the numbers or get a paintbrush and a bucket of water to form them on the walls or floor outside. Please see the trace and copy worksheet to use as a guide.
