First Grade 

We worked on combinations of 10, learning new math games and started non standard measurement. 

Second Grade

We continue to work on adding and subtracting using place value and learning new games for independent work time. 

Students are working on suffix endings, r controlled vowels, ph and ng digraphs and y as the sound as i and e. 

We continue to work on  building our fluency by repeated readings of texts. 

Students are researching diet, habitat, body and interesting facts about their animals. We are learning how to elaborate on facts and write interesting topic/closing sentences that will interest our readers!
