Eleven percent of Iceland is under glaciers that are melting from global warming. This is a big problem for people who live in Iceland. The Gulf Stream’s southwesterly winds make the climate more moderate than you’d think for how far north Iceland is. In Iceland, it’s usually 31 degrees F in January, and 53 degrees F in June.
