Upcoming Dates
Hero Project-This is an in-class assignment. The fifth graders have not had any lessons on how to conduct research on the Internet. They have not been taught how to know a reliable source from an unreliable one. Therefore, they have access to some books and an article printed out for them.
If parents and guardians want to help their student find reliable information about their hero, that is, of course, fine. However, parents and guardians should not feel that they have to do this. The information the students find in the provided materials will be enough.
Hero Project slide shows will be presented in class next week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 29, 30, and 31 May.

Scrib/Script Vocabulary List
describe: to say or write down how something or someone looks; to use adjectives in writing
inscription: a short dedication written in a book or engraved on something, such as a coin or monument

Bad Grades? If your English average has suddently plummeted, it may be because you have a zero for your Creative Writing Final Version due on 25 April. (It's a 20 point project.) If you completed the assignment and I returned it with a grade, then show me your grade so that I can put it in PowerSchool.
