GradeCam
This page contains what you need to know in order to use GradeCam and the bubble sheets to go along with it.
An important thing to know about GradeCam is that the option for it will not appear if the test uses questions that cannot be used on a bubble sheet. So if you can't see the option - your test has at least 1 question that doesn't work with it.

Finding GradeCam
There are actually two different GradeCam tools! This section will tell you where to find both and how to get them to work for you.
Where to find GradeCam and make bubble sheets
Navigate to Synergy Assessment
Find and Open a Test by selecting its name - see Searching for more information.
This should bring you to the "Analysis" page. If not, you can find this using the "three dots" menu on the test item card.
Select "GradeCam," this button is green and appears in the top right corner of the analysis page. If it isn't there, your test is not compatible with GradeCam.
Once opened, first select the "Bubble Sheets" button
Then select either the Pre-Marked or Generic Bubble Sheet buttons. More information below.
Select Students to Print for (only students scheduled for the test will appear) then select "Generate."
Give the app a moment to generate Bubble Sheets, it sometimes says it is done when it is not - especially if printing for a large volume of students.
Then select "Open PDF" - this will be where the bubble sheets appear.
If you receive an error that the sheets have not generated yet, simply close the window and navigate back - it wasn't finished yet.
Print your bubble sheets and distribute.
Where to Find GradeCam Bulk Scan
Scan all of your answer documents - you must use Pre-Marked Bubble Sheets for this to work. It also works best/easiest as a PDF file.
Navigate to Synergy Assessment - or don't - as GradeCam Bulk Scan is built into the navigation menu for Synergy Assessment itself.
Open your file browser on your computer by clicking the box on the GradeCam Bulk Scan page and select the pdf or image file you scanned.
Then select "Scan Now" - it is recommended you use the normal speed or slow speed for your scanning as they are more accurate.
Once the tool has started, allow it to finish. Scores are uploaded automatically to the test associated with the bubble sheets.
Bubble Sheet Differences
The two types of Bubble Sheets are Pre-Marked and Generic. These have positives and negatives, below you'll find related pros/cons of each.
Pre-Marked Bubble Sheets
Generic Bubble Sheets
Pros
Each Bubble Sheet is assigned to each scheduled student for that test.
Students can start working on them right away.
Seems to scan better in GradeCam.
You can scan directly in any GradeCam or by uploading into GradeCam Bulk Scan.
Cons
Each Bubble Sheet must be accurately passed out.
Needs to be printed for every instance of a test.
Pros
Bubble Sheets can be laminated and reused multiple times across multiple tests.
Don't necessarily need to be handed out multiple times - students can keep them in a notebook, desk, classroom storage, or backpack.
Cons
Seems to be less accurate/more difficult to scan in GradeCam.
Must be scanned in the specific test's GradeCam tool.
Scanning into the wrong test will overwrite answers.
Students have to fill in their UID accurately each test.
