Log in to your administrator account at https://mcm-api.hotsaucepos.com and click the Restaurants tab to the left.
At the top of the page select “Create New”.
Fill out the requested information. The more the better but Spice ID and DBA are required. The Salsa ID field will enable them to access their online orders in the near future.
Once you’ve created the restaurant, view it in non-edit mode (click on it from the Restaurants tab) and take note of the new fields generated. There should be an API key and a ID. Copy these, you’ll need them later.
1. Find the latest installer located in the MCM Client Google Drive Folder. Download it to the merchant's local server computer.
2. The installer package can be run from anywhere (on the SERVER it is intended to run on). It will create a folder called mcmobile under the path C:\hotsauce\
Keep the default settings and click "Next" on all prompts to begin the installation. Click "Close" when it's done.
3. Navigate to the installation folder C:\hotsauce\mcmobile and double click MCMClient.exe. You should see the Client Configuration window. Enter the Client ID and API Key and press Save.
4. There are batch files in the mcmobile folder to install and uninstall the service. They are labeled MCM_Service_Installer.bat and MCM_Service_Uninstaller.bat, respectively.
Click MCM_Service_Installer.bat to install the service. The service should start automatically. If it does not, then open Windows service manager (service.msc), find the service named HS MCMobile Reporting Service, and start it. Check that the service is set to automatic startup.
5. If all goes well, the service should create a log file named mcm_service_log.txt under C:\hotsauce\mcmobile. Verify this file exists and check its contents to verify the service is working properly. The format of the log files may change over time, but it should be fairly obvious if there is a problem.
6. To upload archived data, double click ArchiveUploader.exe. The archive uploader should be run after the MCMobile Reporting Service is installed.
Test the application by opening the MyHotsauce app on your personal phone.
Select add a restaurant on the navigation menu and enter the restaurant's access key. Scroll through several reports and confirm that data is displaying properly. You should now be able to view a merchant's live and previous days data through the app.
Upon successful installation, be sure to notify the merchant and/or agent and provide them the access key so they may add the restaurant to their MyHotsauce app.
1. First uninstall the service by using the MCM_Service_Uninstaller.bat file in C:\hotsauce\mcmobile.
2. Delete the Windows Scheduled Task called MCMUpdate.
3. Uninstall the updater first using Windows Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs
4. If the MCM.Setup installer is still on the system, double click it and follow the prompts. Otherwise, uninstall using Windows Control Panel → Add or Remove Programs.
5. Delete the "first run.log", to reset the MCM Client application.
