New Features

• View order by server:   The A920 app will now follow the "View order by server" setting in Back Office -> System Config -> Express Config

• Auto Logout: If the app has been idle for 20 minutes, it will automatically log out the current user. There is currently no way to adjust the auto logout time. 

• Split Payments: Support for split payments on A920. Users can now split a bill evenly among a set number of bills/guests. The "Pay" button will now update with the amount to be paid per even split. 

  • Please note that due to differences between FOH and the A920 app, we recommend that all split payments for one order started on the A920 are completed also on the A920. This will reduce any potential conflicts and payment restrictions between the two software. Furthermore since the "pay by selected item" feature does not exist on FOH, we have disabled using "pay by item" when trying to pay by guest or pay by equal split and vice versa.

• Split Payment History: Previous split payment history will now display on the payment page. 

• Multiple Guest Payment: Users can now select multiple guests at once when completing payment. 

• Payment Switch: Added a button to allow users to quickly switch between payment types on the payment screen. 

Bugfix/Improvements

• In the previous versions, when users were on the Order or Payment screen and pressed the back button, or attempted to leave the current page, the system would directly return to the main screen. However, in most cases, users simply wanted to go back to the previous page to change the table number. We have modified this functionality so that after returning from the regular Order and Payment screens, users will be directed to the Table Selection page. For Express orders, they will be directed back to the Express Type selection screen.

• Additionally, in this update, we have continued our efforts to improve the performance of the application, aiming to provide users with an even better experience.

• Adjusted A920 receipts so that menu items and modifiers are more clearly distinguishable.

*IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE BELOW*

The latest version of the app will be released as a separate app under the name of "Hotsauce POS" with the same icon as the old app. This new version is the version recommended for installation for all merchants moving forward. From this date onward development of previous app named "Hotsauce Mobile POS" will be discontinued. 

New Features

• Tip Adjustment: Tips can now be adjusted post sale through FOH. Ensure that the Hotsauce A920 app is running when attempting to change tip. When you initiate a tip change on FOH, the Hotsauce A920 app will prompt the user for confirmation as shown in the screen to the right. The tip change MUST be confirmed on the A920 for it to complete.  

• 86 Items: 86'd items will now display in red and cannot be selected.

• Seat Assignment: Seats can now be assigned to menu items when ordering. Payment can now also be automatically by seat number.

Bugfix/Improvements

• Improved load time of app on restart. Previously application took 2+ minutes to load for larger menus, now should take around 30 seconds.

• Adjusted ordering process for orders with Pizza mod to improve UI clarity.

Bugfix/Improvements

• Fixed a bug where only the first tax applied to a menu item would affect price calculation

• Adjusted when certain settings (menu, cc fee, etc.) would load on the app. Now system settings and menu will load on app boot up instead of dynamically. 

• Adjusted menu navigation to more closely follow the core POS. Now users can navigate to other menu profiles without having to return to A920 menu main page.

• Fixed a bug that prevented the sub_sc modifier menu to not display if the first modifier window did not also have the sub_sc modifier menu

• Fixed a bug where forced modifiers would sometimes crash the Hotsauce app

• Added functionality for menu link sorting and menu modifier sorting. 

• Menu item sorting has NOT been implemented yet.

• Added menu item preview to menu items with modifier windows. Select the cart in the modifier window to preview an item.

• Added pizza sub menu functionality. Users can select WHOLE, HALF 1, HALF 2, QUARTER 1, QUARTER 2, QUARTER 3, QUARTER 4 on a drop down menu at the bottom of modifier menu. Adding modifiers with one of the pizza . Select next to add the completed selection to the menu item.

• Added sub menu functionality. Select sub menu button from a drop down on the bottom of the modifier window. 

  • Please note that this function currently ONLY supports printing caption to screen and appending caption before the modifier.

• Added support for alternate pricing for menu items.
