Log in as the driver
In the Driver Routing interface, all pending orders are marked for delivery are presented for assignment. As the designated driver, you can efficiently allocate orders by selecting them, a process achieved by simply clicking and highlighting the respective items. Once the desired orders are chosen, proceed to press "Assign Selected Orders." Following this assignment, click on "Print Run Slip." This action triggers the generation of essential documents, including individual itemized receipts for each delivery and, where relevant, credit card authorization slips. This streamlined process ensures a systematic and organized approach to order management and delivery logistics.
Upon the delivery driver's return, they can initiate the check-in process by selecting "Check me in." The ensuing screen provides a comprehensive check-in interface. In cases where certain orders couldn't be successfully delivered, you have the option to click on the specific order. By doing so, the green "Check In" text transforms into "DO NOT check in." Opting for this status maintains the order as open, facilitating potential voiding. Importantly, even if an order has been checked in, it remains eligible for reopening, allowing for continued flexibility in order management.
The sequence outlined above—assigning orders, printing run slips, and checking in—occurs repeatedly throughout the delivery driver's shift. Upon concluding their shift, the driver follows the same three-step checkout process as servers and bartenders. This involves selecting "Enter Tip" to input all credit card tips, executing a server checkout using the "Checkout" button, and subsequently clocking out. This systematic approach ensures a streamlined and efficient end to the delivery driver's work period.
