Edit Check Functions

The "Edit Check" function encompasses various capabilities such as voids and price adjustments, providing significant flexibility for managing orders and transactions.

Upon selecting the "Edit Check" option, a range of functionalities becomes accessible to facilitate operations and modifications as needed.

The "Void" button enables the cancellation of an item, thereby removing it from the current transaction.

Note: The voiding functionality applies exclusively to items that have not yet been prepared in the kitchen.

Ensure that you select the specific items that require voiding, and subsequently, choose the appropriate reason for the voiding action.

Note: different reason can be added and changed in the BOH

Following the selection of the void reason, the system will prompt for the input of the manager's 4-digit code. Please ensure that the manager is logged in, as the void action will not be permitted otherwise.

Note: Invalid Authorization is the error that appears if manager is not log in.

Once an item is voided, it will be displayed with a price of zero and marked with the notation (-VOID- [the reason for the void]).

The "Comp" button serves a similar function as the void button, although it is specifically employed when the food has already been prepared by the kitchen.

The next button is the "Discount" Button

Upon selection , the system will prompt you to select the appropriate reason for applying the discount.

After selecting the reason, the system will request the manager's code. Once the code has been entered, a new window will appear, allowing you to input the discount value.

Note: The "Percent/Dollar" option allows for the transition between percentage input and dollar amount input for the discount.

The discount will be displayed, showing either the percentage or the dollar amount, along with the corresponding value of the discount applied.

There is a button available for removing voids, comps, and discounts. Select the items from which you wish to remove these actions, then press the button. The system will prompt for the manager's code and subsequently eliminate the selected action.

The "Change Price" option allows for the modification of the price of the selected item. This action will also require approval from a manager.

Note: The "Change Price" functionality permits a one-time alteration of the price and does not constitute a permanent adjustment.

The "Remove" button is designed to eliminate items that have not yet been sent. Please ensure that you select the items you wish to remove before utilizing this function.

Note: Items that have been sent have the Blue asterisk

The "Remove Tax" button is used to eliminate the tax associated with the selected items, offering flexibility in managing and adjusting the tax calculations as needed.

The "Reprint" button enables you to reprint a ticket for the kitchen if necessary.

Note: The reprint will include the label "Reprint" to inform the kitchen staff that this is a duplicate copy of the ticket.

The "Sort" button is used to arrange all the menu items for each guest together in a more organized manner.

The "Change Guest Count" button facilitates the addition of more guests to the table, thereby adjusting the guest count accordingly.

The "Quantity" button will prompt you to specify an amount, and then you can select a menu item. The selected quantity will be added to the order accordingly.

The "Gratuity" button enables the addition of a gratuity to the entire check. The "Percent/Dollar" option allows you to select whether the gratuity should be applied as a percentage or a specific dollar amount.

Note: If the period in the bottom right is not visible, it indicates that the gratuity is in the form of a dollar amount. If the period is visible, the gratuity is applied as a percentage.

The "Taxed Gratuity" button enables the addition of a taxed gratuity to a check, which can be specified either as a percentage or a dollar amount.

The "Open Tab" button enables the conversion of a table into a tab, thereby facilitating a seamless transition between different modes of operation.

The "Edit Tab Name" button enables you to modify the name associated with the tab, providing an easy way to personalize and manage various tabs efficiently.

Note: This only works on tabs.

The "Split Item" button facilitates the division of menu items according to the number of guests present on the check, ensuring a more accurate and convenient billing process.

The "Unsplit" button enables the reversal of a previously performed item split, providing a straightforward method for reverting to the original item configuration.

The "Guest Info" button enables the addition or modification of guest information within a call-in order or delivery order, facilitating accurate record-keeping and effective customer management.

Note: Only works for Express orders

The "Change Order Type" button provides the capability to modify the current order type for an express order, ensuring a seamless and flexible ordering process tailored to specific customer preferences.

The "Hold" button enables the temporary retention of items that you prefer not to send to the kitchen immediately, ensuring more precise and efficient control over the order preparation process.

The "Unhold" button facilitates the release of selected items, enabling them to be forwarded to their designated preparation areas for prompt processing and fulfillment.

The "UnHold All" button streamlines the process of releasing all held items, ensuring their prompt transfer to their respective preparation areas for efficient and timely processing.

The "Reprint Expo" function provides the capability to reprint the expo ticket, ensuring that the necessary information is readily available for the kitchen or serving staff.

The "Coupon" button enables the application of a coupon to specific items or a selected group of items, facilitating seamless and convenient discount management for enhanced customer satisfaction.

The "Time Hold" button allows you to temporarily retain items and delay sending them to the kitchen using a timer. This feature enables you to set a specific time for the order to be printed to the kitchen, thereby ensuring precise and efficient control over the order preparation process.

Note: make sure the Print Manager is set up for this to work.

The "Item Lookup" button provides the capability to locate specific menu items either by their name or their unique item ID, offering an on-screen keyword search functionality for convenient and efficient item retrieval.

The "Barcode Lookup" button facilitates the search for menu items that possess barcodes through the utilization of a barcode scanner. This feature streamlines the process of finding and retrieving specific menu items with ease and efficiency.

Note: The mercahnt has to provide us with the barcodes.

The "Set Gratuity" button enables the application of a predetermined gratuity percentage, which has been set in the back of the house (BOH), ensuring a standardized and streamlined process for applying gratuities to customer bills.

Note: This function will ask for manager approval.
