In the HotSauce software, there are three types of linecuts: voids, comps, and discounts. These linecuts allow you to remove items, either partially or fully, from a check.
Voids are utilized to remove items from a check without affecting inventory. For instance, in cases of server errors or incorrect entries (e.g., too many drinks added to a table).
Comps are employed to remove items from a check that have already been deducted from inventory. In this case, the customer does not need to pay for the voided items.
Discounts are utilized to eliminate items from a check that have already been deducted from inventory. Customers may be required to pay a specified percentage or dollar amount based on the discount, or they may not need to pay at all.
Note : We do not use returns
The "Set Gratuity" feature is used to apply a predetermined gratuity to a check. For instance, if you set it to 10, a 10 percent gratuity will be calculated and added to the total amount of the check. Similarly, setting it to 20 will result in a 20 percent gratuity being applied.
