As the new school year begins, many students are looking forward to meeting friends and learning new skills. To commemorate the start of the semester, we have compiled a list of ‘underrated’ clubs you might not know, but we are sure you will enjoy. Here are the top 5 underrated clubs for this month:
5. Rubik's Cube Club
The Rubik’s Cube Club takes place every Wednesday during lunch break in room E202. The club's student leader, Luke Corneil, collaborates with Mr. Iafrate to run this club throughout the year for other Rubik's cube loving students. All that students need to participate is their own cubes.
“In Rubik's cube club, we teach people how to solve a Rubik's cube and other puzzles, how to solve them faster, and club members can compete with friends in speed-solving competitions,” Luke explained.

4. Computer Science Club
The Computer Science Club focuses on weekly coding challenges with rewards for members who solve them. These activities help students prepare for coding contests. In this upcoming year, the club will go on to experiment with robotics and take part in the Secondary Halton Skills competition. The club meets Thursdays at lunch in S205, and is led by Mr. Klimowski and Yuvaansh Kapila, a student leader.
3. Breakfast Club
Every morning around 7:40, the Breakfast Club meets to provide some tasty treats for the students of TAB. The menu can include muffins, yogurt, and Made Good items, such as granola bars. Run by Mrs. Deol-Boyal, this club provides a bit of a wake up in the morning, for all students that need one.

2. Reach for the Top (Trivia club)
Do you consider yourself all knowing? If so, Reach for the Top is for you. Run by Mr. Petz and Mr. Ebbers, this club meets every Tuesday at lunch in E211. There, they practice for the upcoming province-wide competitive trivia competition against different schools. They answer as many questions as possible from topics ranging from Canadian history, the Renaissance, TikTok trends, and current fashion.

1. Knitting club
Every Thursday at lunch, the knitting club meets in E118. Run by Ms. Galbraith and Ms. Millington, the club experiments with different patterns, stitches, and yarns. If you’re new to knitting, learn amongst your peers, and if you’re an expert, find others who enjoy it as well.
