Join Blakelock’s ESL E class in their Hope in Every Step Walk on Friday, November 22, during period one. This event is being held to raise money for Halton Women’s Place and will take place on the track in Blakelock’s back field. In addition to the walk around the track, the event will also include a bake sale, a Krispy Kreme sale, and fun games and activities. All profits will go toward the charity.
Krispy Kreme donuts are expected to sell out quickly! Students are encouraged to purchase them ahead of time on school cash online for $2 each, or $15 for a dozen.

Halton Women’s Place is a non-profit organization that offers emergency shelter, community outreach services, and a 24 hour crisis line to women and children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse. To participate in the fundraiser, students can ask their period one teachers to sign their class up for the event. Alternatively, students can join by donating $2, and by participating in the Krispy Kreme donut sale.
If students are looking to donate online, please do so using the QR code below.

When speaking about the event, a student from the ESL E class highlights the importance of donations. “All students should participate to stop violence against women and to make Halton Women’s Place known.” Every contribution helps Halton Women’s Place improve their services and offer better care to the suffering women and children in Halton. Domestic violence is a pressing issue, and everyone can help spread awareness and make donations to the cause by taking part in the Hope in Every Step Walk on Friday November 22!
