On October 9th, T.A Blakelock celebrated their first ever homecoming dance. It was a night of glitz, glamour, and radiance at the OE Banquet and Conference Center, organized by Blakelock’s own Student Council.
This year, the theme was “The Golden Age of Hollywood.” Filled with gold decorations and a glamorous red carpet. The venue included a wet bar, a snack bar, an amazing DJ, and a very popular photo booth. The dance floor was buzzing from start to finish, with students showing off their outfits and dancing the night away.
The decorations sparkled in the event hall and reflected the theme, with lots of red, white, gold, and black accents. Disco balls, red carpets, balloon arches, and strings of pearls made all the students feel like true movie stars. The snack bar was a big hit with students, constantly having a line as students picked up popcorn and an assortment of candy.
Homecoming was a huge success. Not only did students get the chance to attend a school-wide dance, but students also celebrated the football team and all of their successes in true homecoming fashion.
