On November 24th, the Student Council at Thomas A. Blakelock organized the Fall Pep Rally, bringing energy and pride to the gym. Held in two separate assemblies for juniors and seniors, the rally celebrated the school's fall athletic achievements and welcomed the upcoming winter sports season.
The rally opened with an exciting trick line performance by the TAB Dance Team, coached by Mme. Ellis, immediately setting a high-energy atmosphere for the rest of the assembly.
Fall teams were then recognized for their hard work and success throughout the season. Highlights included the Varsity Boys Football team, who made playoffs for the first time in seven years, and the Varsity Girls Field Hockey team, who made Blakelock history by winning the HSSAA finals for the first time ever!
Cross Country, Tennis, Golf, Basketball, and Volleyball teams were also celebrated for strong performance, playoff appearances, and individual athlete accomplishments, including OFSSA qualifications.

The rally then shifted focus to the 2025-26 winter sports teams, welcoming Ski and Snowboard, Swim, Basketball, Volleyball, and Hockey teams with high-energy walkouts and electrifying music. Excitement was especially strong for the Varsity Girls and Boys Hockey teams, both looking to build on successful seasons from last year!
The event concluded with a fun musical chairs competition featuring team captains and coaches, bringing laughter and school spirit to the crowd.
Overall, the Fall Pep Rally was a memorable experience for all students, celebrating Tiger pride, teamwork, and the dedication and success of Blakelock's student-athletes. As well as creating excitement for the achievements to come!
