On October 22nd, 2025, TAB’s Music Department departed at lunch to attend a performance by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra at Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto. Symphonic Winds, Choir, Wind Ensemble, and various music students had the marvellous opportunity to watch a thrilling orchestral performance with the theme of fiery and passionate Latin tunes.
Amazingly, TAB Musicians were able to meet Gabe Radford, a French Horn player for the Toronto Symphony. He answered various burning questions and provided helpful advice to the musicians before returning backstage. “There were so many different types of music to listen to. I really liked how the dancers always came back to fit all the different cultures. It really tied everything together,” enthused grade 9 student, Sophie Apro.

Afterwards, TAB musicians were granted a generous two hours of free time in the streets of Toronto. Many split off into groups, exploring buildings, buying items such as records or trinkets, or simply grabbing a quick snack.
Musicians were advised not to eat too much as the department met back together at The Old Spaghetti Factory. Various types of spaghetti were offered, such as brown butter or a meat sauce spaghetti, along with delicious appetizers like bread and garlic butter, or decadent salads.

Ending the meal was a delicious cup of ice cream and a fun time with their table group members.
TAB musicians were highly satisfied with their outing downtown, singing karaoke on the bus, and finally returning to TAB in the evening.
