On Thursday, May 21st, Blakelock held our annual Spring Bash on the back field. The event is hosted and planned by Blakelock’s Student Council, and this year was the best one yet!
It was an absolutely beautiful day with amazing weather and clear skies. In addition to Blakelock students, feeder schools walked down to participate in the event. The two elementary school groups that attended Spring Bash 2026 were Pinegrove and Brookdale’s grade 7s and 8s.
The food at Spring Bash is always one of the most memorable parts of the event. There was a lovely ice cream truck, and our own Blakelock staff fry burgers for the barbecue this year! Some clubs also offered a snack or candy prize when students participated in their games!
A highlight of the beautiful weather and bouncy castles.
The student rock band, LUGNUT, and their fans.
Additionally, two student bands performed some original and classic songs, making the day feel truly special. The music was incredibly entertaining. Many students were dancing and cheering for our amazing bands.
There were also many games played by students. Spikeball and football were incredibly popular, stretching across the field. As students were walking around and enjoying the day, Blakelock’s clubs were set up all around the track, with club members hosting Q&As with the feeder school kids and promoting their clubs.
Some clubs that had posters and representatives present include: DECA, TABloid, Book Club, Wellness Club, Finance Club, and many more! Spring Bash is a beloved and classic Blakelock event that students always cherish and remember when reflecting on their time at Blakelock.
Spring Bash was once again such a wonderful time! We can’t wait to see you next year, Tigers!
