This year's Winter Assembly brought together students, teachers, and staff for a heartwarming celebration of teamwork, fun, and festive cheer. The day started off with a shortened schedule, allowing students and teachers the chance to wrap up before diving into the assembly fun which ran from 12:10-1:10 pm.
Kicking off the assembly, Student Council members carolled a lively original parody. With prop songbooks and spirit, they honored Blakelock's new principal, Mr. Stieva, by singing an original rendition of Here Comes Stieva Claus. The Math Department then showcased its creative side by performing a spirited dance to Hot Chocolate from The Polar Express.

TAB’s student rock band “The Graduates” then took the stage delivering an incredible rendition of the rock classics Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club and Zombie by The Cranberries.
Afterward, teachers competed in teams to do the traditional yearly snowman-building contest. Teams from various departments brought their a-game, racing to make the best human snowman. Despite everyone's best efforts, the French Department Team came out victorious, earning the loudest cheer from the crowd.

Later, TAB's very own dance team lit up the floor with a high-energy performance inciting excitement before, Ode to Tabby the Tiger, Mr. Houston's inspiring dramatic monologue, followed, leaving the audience in laughter.
Teachers Ms. Miller and Ms. Barry then captivated the audience with an amazing performance of the song Loathing from Wicked.
Afterwards, In a hilarious two-minute video, the Science Department used their knowledge of physics, chemistry, and holiday spirit to save Christmas. Finally, the assembly ended on a high note as Blakelock's teacher rock band, "The Blakelock Dead," went all out by performing rock classics from the 60s and 80s.

A special thanks goes out to Symphonic Winds, the student band that performed during the entire assembly, for their incredible talent and dedication, making the event truly memorable. From student-led performances to fun teacher activities, the winter assembly reminded everyone of the joy of coming together for the holidays.
