The boys’ basketball season has come to an end. The TAB Jr. Boys team had a very successful season. They finished with 4 wins and 4 losses in the regular season and made a deep playoff run to the Halton semifinals. This was the first time the junior boys basketball team has reached the playoffs in 6 years.
Coach Bruce, a local coach and former college player, stepped up to lead the team this year when they had difficulties securing a coach. The team started off with two losses; however, things turned around quickly for the better.
As the season progressed, the team found their footing, successfully competing against schools like Abbey Park where they won 77-43 and M.M Robinson where they won 78-31.

The quarterfinal game was against Georgetown District High School, where Blakelock came out on top winning 74-63. This sent the team to the semifinals against Frank Hayden Secondary School. Blakelock faced this team twice already in the regular season with tough losses both times.
This time, Blakelock came prepared. The game was nail-biting, but unfortunately, Blakelock lost by 2 points with a final score of 64-66. The team fought hard, with Dylan Vien Truong, Rowan Samuel, Shiloh Meadford, and Naryan Patel combining for 53 points together.
In further basketball news, our senior team had a tough season, filled with great competition. There were many close games, some coming down to the final few minutes.
Congratulations to all the Blakelock basketball teams on their hard work and dedication this year. Thank you for making this season one for the history books.
