On Friday November 6th, Blakelock gathered in the large gym for their first pep rally of the year. The event was organized by the Student Council and Athletic Council, and was split into Junior and Senior time slots.
Announced by Susan Fei and Sienna Munden, the rally began with incredible performances by TAB’s rock band “The Graduates” playing covers of Song 2 by Blur and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana. Following, the Dance Team leaped across the floor to All I Do is Win by DJ Khaled.

After, the Fall and Winter sports teams ran a lap around the gym, amping up the energy of the room. It ended with an intense game of musical chairs where all teams elected a representative to participate in the game.

“It was spectacular and amazing. Great dancers, great musicians, great athletes, and great audience,” said grade nine student Daisy McGillivray when asked about the event.
