Mr. Testani is one of the newer teachers at T.A. Blakelock, and he's excited to be part of both the I-STEM and Social Sciences departments. This year, he’s teaching Grade 12 online Challenge and Change and Grade 10 I-STEM Civics and Careers. He became interested in I-STEM as it was a new opportunity for him.
Teaching has always been one of his dreams since high school. Growing up, many members of his family were teachers which influenced him. He completed his undergraduate at MacMaster University with a double honours in History and Political Science, followed by his Masters in Comparative Politics with a minor in Global Political Economy. Outside the classroom, Mr. Testani is a part of Blakelock’s Debate Club.
Mr. Testani.
When he’s not at school, Mr. Testani loves spending time with family and friends from different stages of his life — elementary, high school, and university. His favourite TV show has to be the popular animated comedy called The Simpsons because he could talk about it for hours and it contains "witty and outrageous humour." Additionally, it helps him connect with his colleagues, as many have seen episodes from it's 34 seasons.
One of his dreams is to travel more. He told us,”[I want to visit] places like India, Turkey, and South America.”
His advice to students? Put down your phones, study hard, and find what makes you unique!
