Halloween is a time of year when you can express yourself in any way and be anyone you want. That being said, if you can’t find a costume and you’re searching for some ideas, we compiled a list of the top 10 halloween costumes.
10. The Lorax
Who doesn’t love our furry orange friend that protects the trees and is against the thneeds?! You can find costumes at Party City or other vendors or just paint yourself orange! It’s sure to get a good laugh from your neighbours.

9. Brat
It was a Brat summer, so why not make it a Brat fall? As one of the highly trending moments of this year, make your costume as iconic as Charli XCX. Sport your neon green shirt, bold black logo, and some slick shades. This costume has free reign, so personalize it, customize it and make it yours.
8. Subway Surfers
A popular and addicting mobile game, Subway Surfers has many characters to choose from. Dress in a group, as a couple, or by yourself as Jake, Tricky, Fresh or many more. It’s easy to find, and easy to perfect

7. Wizard of Oz
Click your heels for a magical Halloween. This is unique, and is perfect for a group of four or five, as well as a solo costume. This costume can be both simple or complex. For Dorothy, a blue plaid dress and a white blouse with braids and red heels. Dress in metallics for the tin man, brown for the lion, and straw for the scarecrow.
6. Pylon
Yes, you read it correctly. A pylon, like the ones used in gym class, or a traffic cone on the street. Find it on Amazon, or DIY it with construction paper, bristol board, glue and a whole lot of patience. This one is sure to stop others in their tracks (pun intended).

5. The Sea Pack
This one can be split into three different categories to represent the fantastical sea world: Pirate, sailor and mermaid (mermaid can also be interchanged with siren). With the pirate, try your hand at an eyepatch, a hook, and a peg leg. If that sounds too challenging, add a bandana, some white, red and brown, and a treasure chest full of gold and you’re pretty much set. For sailors, find your white and navy, and purchase a sailor hat online. Add a cheerful “Ahoy Mateys!” and you can officially set sail. For the mermaid, all you need is some netting, good makeup skills, a few seashells here and there, and if you’re feeling risky, wet your hair for that swampy water look. These three costumes can go as a trio, a duo, or a solo.
4. A Traffic Light
People will stop to look at you when you’re in this costume (pun intended again). You can choose to go more basic and just wear red, green and yellow, or you can go full out and literally be a traffic light. People can’t actually use this costume on the streets, so you might as well bring awareness to them in your neighborhood.

3. Cheetah
It’s classic, it’s easy, and it’s cute. Simply wearing a cheetah print top with black or brown bottoms can be a simple last minute costume for you. With the addition of face markup and ears, you will be the best dressed! You can easily turn this into a group costume, whether you are all cheetahs or mix up the animals with a lion, tiger, or a monkey, you and your friends can be a pack!
2. Monster High
This halloween is all about embracing your inner ghoul! This can be a solo, duo, or group costume, as there are a number of monster high characters. The best part of this costume is how diverse and unique it is: no matter who you are, there is a ghoul for you! Some of the most popular are Draculara, Clawdeen, Frankie Stein, and Lagoona Blue. If you want to stand out, this is the costume for you!

1. Alice in Wonderland
This movie is a classic, and has many characters with distinct characteristics and costume pieces to experiment with. It can be done as a solo, as a duo, or in a large group. Check out different characters from Alice herself, to the antagonist, the Queen of Hearts. Maybe you prefer the animal kingdom and would like to dress as the Cheshire Cat or the White Rabbit. Got a lookalike? Dress as Tweedledee and Tweedledum in their stripes and suspenders. Last, but not certainly not least, the Mad Hatter, with his vibrant colours, and teacups.
