On February 8th, members of T.A. Blakelock’s DECA team worked hard to showcase their amazing business skills in the DECA Provincials competition.
After months of preparation for their respective events, TAB DECA members went to the Toronto Sheraton Hotel to compete. As they entered the competition, filled with hundreds of competitors, they knew this would be a moment to remember. Each competitor was assigned a specific domain of business, such as Human Resources or Finance, competing for the top spot.
There were two parts to DECA’s competition: roleplays, where students displayed their business and communication proficiency to a judge, and a lengthy 100 question exam. Competitors were given only ten minutes to prepare for their improvised roleplay. For further details see Blakelock's 2024 DECA Regionals Wrapped.

Atharv Mishra, a Grade 9 DECA student competing for Human Resources mentioned “the tension in the hall, with hundreds of students crowding all corners of the room, all there for the sole purpose of winning. It was daunting to say the least.”
TAB’s DECA team represented well under extreme pressure with stellar results. Below are the individual awards, so please congratulate all the DECA winners!
