Principal's Message
The 2023-2024 school year is here at last!
It's the first year of the rest of your school life.
Whatever has gone before, here you are.
If you have experienced success to this point, carry those skills and attitudes forward and look for new ways to challenge yourself, examine new perspectives, and share your knowledge and skills.
If things haven’t gone exactly to plan, we will help you make the changes you want to make, and support you on your journey.
The staff of Thorsby Junior Senior High School are here for all students, wherever you are in your schooling and your life. Reach out, ask for help, ask questions, be curious, and be patient, especially with yourself.
Every step you take is a step in the right direction, so keep moving forward, it’s the only way to get where you’re going.
Daniel Hodges
Principal
Orange Shirt Day & Terry Fox Run
Thursday, September 28, 2023
For the 16th consecutive year, Thorsby Junior Senior High School will participate in the annual Terry Fox school run. On the same day, students are encouraged to wear their orange shirts as we will also recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
School Goal: $1000.00
If students raise $500, Mr. Proc will either wear a toupee or shave handlebars.
If students raise the full $1000, Mr. Heise will get a pie in the face!
Students are encouraged to bring at least a toonie on (or before) run day (collected as students exit the gym to the route) or donations can also be made online.
