Friday, October 6: TJSHS Awards Night
Monday, October 9: Thanksgiving Day (Schools Closed)
Tuesday, October 10: Professional Development Day (No Classes)
October 11 & 12: Parent Teacher Interviews & ISP Meetings
Thursday, October 12: Picture Day!
This week I didn't get to spend as much time in the school as I would like. Monday was spent working with the other rural Black Gold schools. Tuesday I was ill, and Wednesday and Thursday was spent working with the entire district on district-wide initiatives, and now it is Friday already!
What a day to be back though as it is awards night!!! I encourage everyone to attend either to celebrate, or to be inspired by our recipients from the 2022-2023 school year.
While the skills and attitudes celebrated this evening will pay dividends as our students move through school and into the workforce, it's always nice to get a dividend or two right now...

Book Rec's from Gourley
Hey there, bookworms! 📚 Looking for a literary escape that'll leave you mesmerized? Look no further than "The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue" by V.E. Schwab. Trust me, this book is awesome. Picture this: a Faustian bargain, a dash of historical charm, and a protagonist you can't help but root for. Addie's journey through centuries, her invisible dance with time, and the beautifully crafted narrative will have you hooked from page one. It's a tale of identity, resilience, and the mark we leave on the world. So, if you're ready to embark on an unforgettable literary adventure, grab a copy from the library and get lost in Addie's invisible life. Happy reading!

Vaping is of particular concern, not only at our school but in schools across the world. Our hope is that together with parents and other stakeholders we can increase knowledge of the effects of vaping and, by doing so, reduce their consumption
I have included links to several resources below as well as a link to our statement of fair notice regarding the consequences for failing to adhere to the rules related to illegal substances I have outlined above.
