I hope that this message finds you well and getting ready to enjoy some slightly warmer weather this weekend! I know that after attending the Marmot trip with the students, I am itching to ride my mountain bike and enjoy some warmer weather. Things are busy at the school right now, though as we complete registrations and start the planning process for next fall. Part of that process is finalizing administrative roles within the school. As some of you may know, the position of principal has been posted for Throsby Jr/Sr High and will be determined in the next couple of weeks. This means that I will be returning to Riverview Middle School in September and a new person will fill the role of principal here. What started as a 6-week stint has become a much longer stay that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I will be making sure to savour that last few months as there is lots to do and all kinds of moments to enjoy. All the best!
Respectfully,
Justin Klaassen

Join us for this online session where we will look at the reasons behind school refusal, supports you can put in place at home, and supportive resources you can access for both you and your child.

The badminton tournaments occurred this week, with the juniors competing on Tuesday and the Seniors competing on Wednesday. The juniors had a whirlwind of an event and there was a good amount of athletes that showed up for that one. Great work in Leduc everyone. The seniors played their matches in Edmonton and did really well. Jenna and Tyra placed first in their category and are moving on to next week's Zone Championship on Wednesday. Good luck Jenna and Tyra
Grade 7s have planted tomato seeds in science class! The best part is that some of the seeds spent 6 weeks at the International Space Station last year! However, students do not know which pack of seeds was which. At the end of the experiment, results will be submitted and students will find out which seeds were kept on earth and which seeds spent 6 weeks in space."
