Fall is well and truly underway. I know this because of the enormous bags of leaves sitting in my yard, some of which were actually collected by my teenage children! I've also noted more and more of the fields turning to stubble and the spreaders out returning nutrients to the soil.
Reflecting on my time living in Canada, now longer than anywhere else I've lived, one of the most notable things is the way the year is broken up into distinct seasons. In New Zealand there are warmer and colder times of the year, but a lot of the trees are evergreens, and snow is a relatively rare commodity. As a result, you don't get the same visual cues about the passage of time as you do here. I know a lot of people probably think that sounds quite good, and there were times when I was trying to start a pump at an oil refinery in Fort McMurray in the middle of winter when I very much agreed but, on balance, I think I prefer it... at least I do now when the snow is somewhere in the future. Ask me again in a few months.
Get involved with the parent council to help support the school and our students. You can become a member at large or we are also seeking a Fundraising Coordinator.
Open Houses are a great way to see campuses, learn about different programs and in some cases apply for free or win tuition!

Vaping is of particular concern, not only at our school but in schools across the world. Our hope is that together with parents and other stakeholders we can increase knowledge of the effects of vaping and, by doing so, reduce their consumption
I have included links to several resources below as well as a link to our statement of fair notice regarding the consequences for failing to adhere to the rules related to illegal substances I have outlined above.
