Congratulations to our Grade 12's who will celebrate tonight with a graduation ceremony and dinner. We are very proud of all of your accomplishments!
Our students are fortunate enough to be able to have breakfast in the morning, lunch if needed and snacks throughout the day. Most of the fundraising for this program comes from the bottles and cans that Mrs. Pilon digs out of the garbage/recycling cans everyday. We are asking for donations of breakfast and snack items. Here are a few things that we are always in need of:
nut free granola bars
cheese strings
yogurt
fruit sticks
goldfish
cheese whiz
jam
bread
Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated and can be brought to the office!
Get your pancakes, eggs and sausage for $5.00 on Thursday, June 1 from 7:30am to 9:30am. Proceeds will benefit the Breakfast Program at the school. Come hungry!

Staying hydrated is important not only for your physical health, but also can improve your mental health. Here are some reasons why you need 7-8 cups (2 litres) of non sugary drinks in a day:
1) You will be able to concentrate better.
2) If you have done exercise, you need to replace the fluid you have lost.
3) Drinking plenty of water stops your mouth from becoming dry.
4) You will feel more energized and less tired.
5) Drinking water keeps your skin healthy.
6) Not drinking enough water can give you headaches.
7) Not drinking enough water can leave you feeling dizzy or light headed.
As of June 5, student are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to school so they can fill up throughout the day. Single-use water will no longer be available in the mornings through our Breakfast Program.
Congratulations to all of the athletes who attended the LDAA track meet in Leduc on May 23. A Sabre Standing Ovation to Eva Hamre (shot put) who placed first in her category and Kendrick Rosentreter (high jump) who placed second in his category.
Congratulations to all the athletes who competed at the Senior High Zones on May 25th. We have two athletes moving onto provincials! Jenna Rhody will represent in the 1500m after receiving a silver medal for her efforts and Colin Mitchell will represent in both shot put (gold) and discus (silver). Best of luck at Provincials!
The tournament is underway and it looks to be anyone's game.
We have 5 team's signed up this year (Devious Dusters, The Dodgeball Busters, Spiderman's GF, Team Random, and Mason's Minions). All of the teams have a chance to take home points for their house!
Good luck to all, epecially my own team (Mason's Minions).
During the 2022/2023 school year we decided to tweak our spirit point system. Instead of having each grade compete against one another, we changed it up so that each grade was split across six teams and then we added 3-4 staff members to each team.
Throughout the year we had contests and special events that took place and the houses competed against one another for points. The team with the most points at the end of the year will receive a prize. Our last competition to count for this year's points is a tug of war contest that occurred earlier in the month at lunch.
The winner of this year's house cup was decided in a tiebreaker between Team White and Team Yellow. Team White prevailed following what was likely 100 attempts at throwing from half court!
The winning team wins the prize of a movie! They will be heading to Leduc Cinema on June 8th to watch a movie and have some pop and popcorn!
