A busy week again and one fewer hours to prepare for it as well. On the upside, it was clearly a harbinger of warmer days ahead.
Despite the snow disappearing from the ground, the ice is still in for the Thorsby Junior hockey teams. Both the U15 and U18 teams are rolling through their opposition as the playoffs continue. Good luck this weekend!

Open to residents of Leduc County
Must have a Grade 12 Diploma and be entering one of the following:
An Apprenticeship program
A Trades program
A post- secondary institution, college or university program.
Summer School 2024
Summer school registration will open April 27, 2024 at 9am.
Students are eligible to take one core course in summer school.
Registration occurs through the Parent Portal of Power School.
Classes are offered in two formats: Classroom Based and Modular Based (independent work). Both have a $25 non-refundable program fee.
For Classroom Based, the courses will run Monday through Friday, July 2- July 26, 2024 at Leduc Composite High School from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Note: PE 10 will start on July 1, 2024)
As these courses are condensed, students are expected to attend all 80 hours of in-class instruction. They should also expect to complete one to two hours of homework each afternoon in order to keep up with the pace of instruction.

We wil once again be offering Subway subs on Wednesdays this year. Orders and money are due on the Monday prior at 10:00 am. Subs are $5.50 and can be purchased at the Office or online.. Our next Sub order will be on March 20 so orders are due March 18

There is a new nation wide suicide crisis helpline that went live Thursday, November 30. You can call or text 24/7/365. Not only is this a great resource for anyone who is having thoughts of suicide, but it is also there for anyone who is concerned about anyone else.
As the holiday season ramps up, we recognize it is not an easy time for everyone. Please reach out if you or a loved one needs support.

1) Gross family household income less than $75,000
2) No access to employee insurance benefits.

Vaping is of particular concern, not only at our school but in schools across the world. Our hope is that together with parents and other stakeholders we can increase knowledge of the effects of vaping and, by doing so, reduce their consumption
